Resin Bound Laser Wasps

Resin Bound Laser Wasps

I found these two wasps in the shed a few years ago. They seemed unusually large so I thought I would try to preserve them somehow / put them into a plastic bag and forgot all about them.
One house move later and the (now rather smelly) wasps re-emerged...
Visited Hobbycraft and a staff member advised we encapsulate them in an "optically pure" (non discolouring) hobby resin..
So,,, one rainy Saturday afternoon we mixed this stuff up and dunked the two wasps into it (with a stick) - Unfortunately, the tendency seemed to be for these, gassed up, beasties to bob about / didnt seem to want to remain submerged so we hung about dunking till the juice viscosity reached a point where both became effectively suspended.
Stupidly (maybe) ~ we didnt realise the curing of this "play resin" would be quite so exothermic! And the smell of these (now cooking / pretty rotten) wasps became quite appalling / once the suckers were secure in their new home we put them in the garage to de-stink and cool down!!
Sometime ago SP suggested we shine lasers on them and photograph their last crazy moment
As they have continued to degenerate / go mouldy this could be the last chance to capture them...?
